Are you talking about the featured listings section of the homepage, or the listing search results when you use the search bar? You can change the sort order a few ways — manually with adding some code to your functions.php file or a plugin that lets you manually sort your lists in the order you would like. The plugin would work with the search results page. If you want to do the code route let me know and I can include a code snippet.
