Hi Marcy,
Yes, I fell back to the AgentPress Listings plugin, and most all is working (with that plugin) as designed. I corrected the”Appearance > Customize > Background Image” issue, and my AgentPress listing pages look much nicer.

I will look into the other issue you brought to my attention.
“… you will probably not want the CSS for the showcase from the tutorial above, and you’ll
probably need to add your own styles”.

I will contact Agent Evolution to see if there is an “easy” way to disable the use of a “Featured Image” on the listing details page. That would be nearly the perfect solution for me.
