      Hi:

      I am running into a situation. The theme is designed with a sidebar which is fine. However these are the issues I am running into:

      1.) I want to create a custom sidebar for each community. I activated the Genesis simple sidebars however this plugin is not working on the community pages. (I want to put widgets specific to each community).
      2.) I am using IDX Broker, and setting the theme to use a sidebar as the default, the IDX Broker wrapper is also using a sidebar page display which I don’t want to these pages.

      Any ideas, help, suggestions is greatly appreciated! 🙂

      Hi there,

      #1. The communities are a custom post type (CPT) so you’re right – out of the box the Genesis Simple Sidebar plugin doesn’t show as an option when you’re editing a Community page. That said, thankfully Carrie has a great tutorial on how to do exactly this, see the link below for step-by-step instructions:

      #2. My suggestion here would be to edit your IDX wrapper page to not have a sidebar at all, you can select from that layout option. Hopefully this what you meant ! 🙂
