Home page welcome message on every page?

Hi all,

I’m configuring a new site for a client, and he’s asked that the large image and Home welcome message be displayed on every page, not just the home page.

I’m wondering if I can somehow register an extra widget area in functions.php?

Hiya,

There are a few ways you can do this, see the forum topic link below – he changed the regular pages to show the background image on all.

Add header, search bar, footer to landing page

Another way to go is make a copy of your landing page template and customize the new one by uncommenting the areas you want. It already shows the background image and “removes” all the other elements. You can comment out the removals for the items you like to show. Hope this makes sense! I’ll dig in to this, but I’m not sure it’s exactly what I’m looking for. I’m sure I’m just communicating poorly.

What I’m looking to edit isn’t the ‘Landing Page’ template, but the page template used for regular internal pages.

I think the second article link might hold the answer, but it’ll take some time. I was hoping there was a quick workaround.
