ParticipantHow do I remove the words “IDX Quick Search” above the search bar? My site is http://www.liveplayoceanside.com

ParticipantHi there,
It is probably the title on a text widget — just delete the title and it should take care of it.
Best,
Ginger

ParticipantThanks Ginger, I checked and there is no title on the Text Widget. I used the “IDX Quick Search” widget. Should I have used something else?

ParticipantAh, I see, we’ve never used the IDX Broker widgets from the plugin so I wasn’t familiar with that. OK, so apparently if you do not include a title on the widget it inserts that “IDX Quick Search” on it’s own. To get around it, I went in to the box after “Widget Title:” and tapped on the space bar a couple of times. This left it blank on the actual search bar.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantThat did not work for me 🙁 Is there another search widget that works with IDX broker for use in this space?

ParticipantHmm, that’s odd, how did it not work? A few spaces ought to do the trick.
You can use the Text widget and copy the script created from your IDX Broker – Manage Widgets, quick search widget into the Text widget. Then you’d need to bring over your Custom CSS as well to your theme’s local style.css file — this is the styling you added to format how the search bar looks in the space.
