As we were sprucing up the place, we slowed significantly in our posting of articles and help tips. Guess what happened?
Boom – volume, traffic, and sales slowed. The longer we went without new content, we exponentially lost traffic and, more importantly, sales.
Here is the lesson that we learned, and I think it is very relevant to you.
Out of site, out of mind.
What happens to our traffic and sales is exactly what happens to your sales – both listings and new buying clients – they decline. When your customers don’t hear from you, they end up using someone else.
You must get yourself in front of your past and current clients on a regular basis! At a minimum, they need to hear from you at least once a month, but preferably weekly.
And no, don’t just send them requests for sales and referrals. Send them beneficial information they can use. Update them on what’s happening in their neighborhood and community – be their “hyper-local” agent where they are used to seeing (and look forward to) your updates.

You need to get yourself to be your clients’ go-to for all things real estate – your clients need to know they can come to you about anything that is related to real estate, and if you are providing them the right information, you will be the one they think of first…
